Inspiring Others

“All of the attention you gave me when I was going through treatment helped me cope,” explained Phyllis Magiros to Monica Cotton, Summit Medical Group Foundation’s Patient Navigator, “and I just wanted to make someone else feel that way.” Phyllis did… and then some! Harnessing the power of her church community, The Philanthropic Ladies of the St. George Orthodox Church in Clifton, New Jersey, Phyllis donated dozens of baskets to Summit Medical Group Foundation’s Comfort Project. Each basket was loaded with items curated with care and experience by Phyllis to provide comfort for others going through treatment, including scarves, turbans, puzzles, inspirational notes, sucking candies and more. Monica was thrilled to see the thoughtful care she provided to one patient multiplied to have a positive impact on so many others.
