Summit Medical Group Foundation was established in 2013 by Summit Medical Group — New Jersey’s oldest and largest private multispecialty medical group. For years, this partnership has allowed the foundation to engage the doctors and employees of Summit Medical Group, working together to strengthen the community around us.
In 2019, Summit Medical Group and CityMD, the leading urgent care provider in the New York metro area, merged becoming Summit Health. With this merger, we have brought together two incredible charitable foundations—Summit Medical Group Foundation and CityMD Cares—as one entity, now called Summit Health Cares.
Summit Health Cares focuses on bringing our renewed mission to life-supporting our neighbors in underserved communities across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Oregon, helping them gain access to the medical, educational, and social services they need to live a healthier life. We live out this mission by providing free health screenings and education programs to those without access to healthcare, educating and inspiring future healthcare providers through scholarships and mentorship programs and supporting people with cancer and their families by offering resources and personalized navigation services.
