Since 2017, Summit Health Cares (SHC) has hosted Broadway’s finest stars for a must-see benefit event. The event takes place in New Jersey and in Oregon, allowing the bright lights of Broadway to shine upon us all. The exciting event features top-notch Broadway talent singing an array of favorite tunes, raises needed funds to help comfort those in our community fighting cancer.
While COVID-19 has stopped many things, COVID-19 HAS NOT STOPPED CANCER. Patients and their families need support now more than ever. All funds raised during the event support our personalized, one-on-one patient navigation program, connecting patients with needed community resources at a time when it is easy to feel isolated; make virtual mind-body programs available for patients and caregivers alike, including Jin Shin Jyutsu, Pilates, Movement and Mindfulness (formerly yoga/chair yoga), provide stress-reducing programs for patients, such as pet therapy, writing workshops and Music in the Atrium live on Facebook; and provide one-time grants through our Patient in Need fund to help cancer patients and families with critical, non-medical expenses, easing anxiety and allowing them to focus on getting healthy.
Past events has boasted stars such as: Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys, An American in Paris), Jessica Vosk (Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof), Norbert Leo Butz (two-time Tony Winner, My Fair Lady), Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (Beetlejuice, Legally Blonde), J. Harrison Ghee (Mrs. Doubtfire, Kinky Boots), Adam Kaplan (The Big Leap on FOX, A Bronx Tale), Noah J.
