Summit Health Cares is all about making our communities healthy! We aim to do this by helping neighbors in underserved communities across New York, New Jersey and Oregon gain access to the medical, educational and social services they need.

Empowering Communities
SHC provides access to health screenings and education in underserved communities around us. Our goal is to help participants in our community outreach programs become aware of any medical conditions they have and understand how to properly treat them (e.g., through healthy foods, active routines). We work hard to remove barriers to care because everyone deserves equal access.
The Comfort Project
SHC realizes the importance of elements that can help heal patients with cancer, above and beyond excellent medical care. By offering additional services to patients with cancer and taking a whole-person approach, we are helping patients with cancer and their families maintain their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being throughout their treatment - ultimately, increasing their chances for survival.
Educating Future Leaders
It’s clear there’s a need for more highly trained healthcare professionals. Summit Health Cares hopes to inspire today’s students to become tomorrow’s healthcare leaders through two scholarship programs: Next Generation Scholarship and the Dr. Marcia A. Sherman Memorial Scholarship.

Wall of Inspiration
Stand tall in the fight against cancer by inscribing your own personal message of love and hope on a tile on the SHC Wall of Inspiration. Proceeds from the wall support the SHC Comfort Project – aimed at providing comfort and easing stress and anxiety for patients and their families fighting cancer.
