Paying Kindness Forward

To lift a patient’s spirits as she was going through a particularly tough day of chemotherapy, Diane, a long-standing and thoughtful Summit Medical Group Foundation volunteer, bought Amber a stuffed bear from the Foundation Gift Shop. Amber was so moved by the kind and selfless gesture that she decided to pay it forward with even more stuffed bears. Overall, Amber donated 40 stuffed bears! Amber’s bears were distributed from our Comfort Cart to other patients in need of a touch of kindness, and also to the SMGF Toy Drive benefitting local children who otherwise might not have a gift for the holidays.
