BERKELEY HEIGHTS - Summit Medical Group Foundation (SMGF) is pleased to unveil details about their Fifth Annual Gala and Auction on Saturday, May 12, at 6 p.m. at The Grove, 691 Pompton Ave. in Cedar Grove.

Established in 2013 by Summit Medical Group (SMG), the largest and oldest physician-owned multispecialty medical practice in New Jersey, the Foundation is dedicated to offering free wellness screenings to neighbors in need, mentorship programs to medical students and scholarships to students pursing careers in medicine.

Summit Medical Group Foundation’s Annual Gala & Auction raises imperative funds to ensure the 85-year legacy of Summit Medical Group, continues to offer high-quality access to care, education and mentorship the local community needs, without the burden of cost. The Foundation’s mission is to improve access to healthcare for underserved individuals in local communities and to help educate and inspire our current and future healthcare leaders.

“For the fifth year running, we are once again proud and thrilled to be able to bring you an exciting event filled with entertainment — and all to benefit our community members in the greatest need,” said Joe Finocchairo, Summit Medical Group Foundation executive director.

“This year we are aiming even higher in order to raise the funds necessary for those who are truly committed to education in medicine, free screenings and mentorship programs.”

During the Fifth Annual Gala and Auction, Summit Medical Group Foundation will enjoy a special appearance by Seth Meyers, host of NBC’s "Late Night with Seth Meyers," along with celebrity auctioneer Paul Zekos.

Guests will enjoy gourmet culinary options, live and silent auctions with unique offerings and star-studded entertainment. Past celebrity participants have included Broadway’s Morgan James, Whoopi Goldberg (ABC’s "The View") and Andy Cohen (Bravo’s "Watch What Happens Live").

Summit Medical Group Foundation will also present the Vision & Legacy Award to Dr. Michael Wax and Dr. Kenneth Adler, both of the Summit Medical Group MD Anderson Cancer Center, for their esteemed work and will also recognize their longtime community partner, Investors Bank.
