Random Acts Of Kindness
Members of Verona Kids Rock, a community service group for elementary and middle school children, recently contributed to Summit Medical Group Foundation’s Comfort Project by donating comfort port pillows for patients with cancer. Ellen Brown, founder of Sew It! Workshop, helped the kids learn how to assemble and sew these small pillows which make it more comfortable to wear a seatbelt when you have a port in place for cancer treatment. Verona Kids Rock has been performing random acts of kindness since 2016, when Dina Lilley and her daughter Anna began singing at nursing homes. These made-with-love pillows were distributed to patients with cancer from the SMGF Comfort Cart.
